Abstract

The cellular response to drug candidates is often complex and divergent across different cell phenotypes. Flow cytometry enables identification of each cell type within biologically relevant, heterogeneous samples allowing responses to be quantified at the single cell level and in a high throughput, statistically significant manner. A unique advantage of Luminex’s Amnis technology is that it combines these benefits of flow cytometry with high-content, quantitative imaging capabilities. In this short presentation I will introduce this technology and highlight key features and application examples to demonstrate how it can provide deeper spatial and temporal insights into the cellular response.
