CUI International, the UK’s leading and most innovative supplier of Ostomy and Hernia support products is part of H&R Healthcare Ltd, which represents world-class companies in the product areas of Advanced Wound Management, Compression, Infection Control and Skin Protection.

CUI have worked with clinical experts in Cardio Thoracic surgery and Surgical Site Infection prevention to fill a gap in the market to develop a unique and bespoke bra to meet the specific needs for this patient group: the result of this collaboration is the BHIS™ Bra.

Females have a higher risk of Post Operative Surgical Site Infection following Cardiothoracic Surgery and many specialist Cardio Thoracic centres will ask their female patients to wear a suitable bra post operatively and for a time period of 4- 6 weeks.

The BHIS™ Bra is suitable for female patients requiring a midline chest incision for heart surgery. The product may also be used on patients requiring new implant devices after surgery (e.g. pacemaker).

The BHIS™ Bra offers many unique features and benefits to meet the post-operative needs of female patients including specific fabrics to accommodate fluid gain, faster evaporation of perspiration build- up, shoulder strap adjustability and removal options, easy access to the wound, targeted support structure to reduce tension on the incision line and a bespoke seam design to protect post operative fragile skin and provide optimal patient comfort.

The BHIS™ Bra is only UK bra of its type to offer a full range of sizes from 30A through to 56HH.
