Profile of Dr Jennifer Van Eyk
Dr. Van Eyk has a longstanding record of excellence in applying cutting-edge analytical technologies to address clinically relevant biological hypotheses and in translation into clinical therapies or diagnostics. She is currently director of the Advanced Biosystems Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, LA and also holds the inaugural Erika Glazer Endowed Chair in Women’s Heart Health. Dr. Van Eyk is an international leader in the area of clinical proteomics and her lab remains focused on developing technical pipelines for de novo discovery and larger scale quantitative mass spectrometry methods focused on continuous assessments of large healthy cohorts and clinical grade assays focusing on brain and cardiovascular diseases. The Precision Biomarkers Laboratories, an outgrowth of her lab, is comprised of three independent commercial laboratories, aimed at facilitating move from discovery to clinical assays for personalized biomarkers. Current, she is part of the Innovation Center, driving single cell phenotyping of patients samples for individualized therapy development.
