Session: Innovations in Chemistry to discover new medicines
Room: Conference Hall

Profile of Adam Nelson

Professor Adam Nelson is Professor of Chemical Biology at the University of Leeds, and Head of High-Throughput Molecular Discovery at the Rosalind Franklin Institute. He leads a vibrant research programme in which innovative synthesis is exploited in the discovery of biologically-active small molecules especially chemical probes of biological mechanisms. He is currently an EPSRC Established Career Fellow, and was awarded the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry 2018 UCB-Ehrlich award which cited his innovative approaches to explore chemical space including lead-oriented and activity-directed synthesis.
