Antibodies can be used to deliver bioactive molecules (drugs, cytokines, photosensitizers, radionuclides, etc.) to the site of disease, sparing normal tissue. In addition, small organic molecules, capable of high-affinity binding to accessible markers of disease, may be used for pharmacodelivery applications.
In this lecture, I will present preclinical and clinical work performed in this field by our group, in collaboration with Philogen (www.philogen.com) for the treatment of cancer and of chronic inflammatory conditions.
